Elly Schmeltzer joins Morrison-Maierle Helena Water-Wastewater group
Morrison-Maierle is pleased to announce that Elly Schmeltzer has joined the Helena office as an entry-level Water-Wastewater engineer. She will be working on municipal water and wastewater treatment projects such as the Glasgow Water Treatment Plant Upgrade.
A native of Helena, Elly grew up on a cattle ranch outside the city. She is a 2018 graduate of Carroll College with a B.S. civil engineering. During college, she was an intern at the Morrison-Maierle Helena office and a clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office – District of Montana criminal prosecution division for 3.5 years.
When not at work, Elly finds time for hobbies such as playing guitar, leather crafting, fishing, camping, reading, and traveling. She says she’s also looking forward to not having to do homework.
She’s been a student leader for American Society of Civil Engineers, and hopes to continue her service as a professional with the local chapter. Elly has also been involved with Engineers Without Borders on a project for the Santa Maria Home for Children in Mexico.
