Erik Miller moves to Helena office for new Transportation position
Morrison-Maierle is pleased to announce that Erik Miller has transferred to the Helena office to serve as the Transportation Market Group’s Office Leader. He was previously in our Sheridan office where he held the same position.
As a University of Wyoming graduate in architectural engineering, Erik began his career at WYDOT and moved to TSP, which eventually became Vista West in 2006. Erik, along with seven others, was one of the founders of the firm that was based in Sheridan and eventually expanded into Casper. In 2016 Morrison-Maierle acquired Vista West engineering that had offices in both Sheridan and Casper, Wyoming.
As far as employee ownership goes, Erik said (employee ownership) “was a big deal for us at Vista West, and part of the reason we knew we would be a good fit with Morrison-Maierle.” Having worked on several projects as partners before last year’s acquisition, Erik said both Vista West’s and Morrison-Maierle’s cultures matched up quite well.
Erik and his wife, Karen, who works in the banking industry, have relocated to Helena. Both are Wyoming natives and are looking forward to being in Montana.
When not at work, Erik enjoys fishing and traveling and “when both happen at the same time, that’s even better,” he added.
