Garth Stevens hired at Morrison-Maierle as Senior Electrical Engineer
Morrison-Maierle is pleased to announce that Garth Stevens has joined the firm’s Missoula office as a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Buildings Group at the Missoula office. Currently he is helping with all the technical aspects of electrical project setup, project review, and project oversite.
A native of Billings, Garth has spent most of his life in Montana. He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Montana State University in 1988 and is licensed in Washington, Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota.
After graduation, he worked for Boeing in the Seattle area for five years and then returned to Montana and worked for Associated Construction Engineering in Missoula. From there he worked for Design 3 Engineering for their Billings office, but worked remotely from his home in Stevensville for 21 years.
When not at work, Garth enjoys gardening, growing fruit trees, and playing the violin mostly, he says, for his own enjoyment or for funerals. “I guess I could say that people are just dying to hear me play,” he added.
Garth in very involved in his church community and has served in various capacities from Scoutmaster, to early weekday morning teacher for the youth, to a secretary and various leadership positions.
He and his wife have three grown daughters, the youngest will finish college this spring. They have some outdoor cats that help battle the mouse populations.
After working at home for so many years, Garth is pleased to be working in Morrison-Maierle’s Missoula office where he has daily contact with the other members of the Buildings Market Group.
