Janna Nelson hired by Morrison-Maierle’s Kalispell office as a water-wastewater engineer
Morrison-Maierle is pleased to announce the hiring of Janna Nelson in the Water-Wastewater Market Group as a civil engineer. She is working on project reports, drafting, and field work specifically for the Muldown Elementary School in Whitefish.
As a native of Rapid City, South Dakota, Janna came to Montana as a civil engineering student at Montana State University. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering in May 2018. She is also a certified Grade I, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician.
Before working for Morrison-Maierle, she interned with the Montana Department of Transportation in Billings in the materials laboratory and with SECO Construction, Inc. Rapid City, South Dakota. She was also a surveying teaching assistant at Montana State University for the 2016-2017 school year.
When not at work, Janna enjoys playing her violin, volleyball, fishing, motorcycles, cooking/baking, working with youth groups at her church, and playing fetch with my dog. Her dog, Olli – a Portuguese Water Dog – is a certified community therapy dog that goes to nursing homes to perform tricks and socialize. Janna and Olli hope to continue this work in Kalspell-area nursing homes.
Janna is recently married to “a Montana man that I met in physics class at Montana State University. We both graduated in May and are excited to be living in the Kalispell area with our lively puppy as we begin our journey together. We enjoy fishing, hunting and being out on the lake.”
