Morrison-Maierle, Inc. has an opportunity in our Sheridan, Wyoming office for a Land Development Engineer.


This position will be working under the direction of project managers to provide high-level design support for Land and Site Development and Land Use Planning.

Depending on experience, tasks may include performing design calculations, project planning, development, and design; funding procurement; preparation of technical reports; coordination with multiple engineering disciplines, architects, and clients; preparation of construction plans and specifications; construction inspection and/or administration; site visits; and public presentations.



Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent;

Minimum of 4 years’ experience.  A Wyoming professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.

Value added skills or certifications could include:

  • Experience and/or strong interest in hydrology, hydraulics, sewer collection systems, onsite septic design, water distribution systems, site plans to include grading and drainage, storm collection and minor street design.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D , including roadway, utilities, and site grading design experience
  • Construction background or construction inspection experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.

High level of personal responsibility and accountability. Interpersonal skills to meet and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and clients.  Positive attitude and professional bearing.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.
