Missoula International Airport and Neptune “Tanker 10” Structure

Missoula International Airport and Neptune “Tanker 10” Structure

Missoula International Airport and Neptune “Tanker 10” Structure

Missoula, Montana

Morrison-Maierle partnered with Neptune Aviation and the Missoula International Airport to help create the “Tanker 10” structure at the entryway to the airport. For Neptune Aviation and Missoula International Airportmany years, Neptune flew this plane which helped fight countless wildfires throughout the county. The intention of this effort is to honor those who have fought fires throughout the decades and to honor the Missoula area’s dedication to wildland firefighting and aviation.

Morrison-Maierle did the structural design to anchor the aircraft, survey for the layout of the area, modeled the route for moving the aircraft, and coordinated the construction for this project.
