Sarah Hendrikx joins Morrison-Maierle Bozeman office
Sarah Hendrikx has been hired as an environmental scientist in its Bozeman office. She is responsible for GIS and environmental and storm water permitting in the company’s Natural Resources Market Group.
A native of New Zealand, Sarah moved to Bozeman in 2011. She is currently working on a master’s degree at Montana State University in land resources and environmental sciences. She holds a BSc in physical geography from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand; a graduate certificate in Antarctic studies from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, NZ; and a BSc in geography and environmental studies from Victoria University, Wellington, NZ.
Prior to her employment with Morrison-Maierle she was a program manager at Montana State University where she managed online degree programs and also science outreach and education programs including for the inaugural Montana Climate Assessment released in 2017. She has also worked as an environmental scientist for Sinclair Knight Merz NZ Ltd. on projects based in Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia.
When not at work, Sarah spends time skiing, running, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and crocheting hats. She says she’s also passionate about getting kids into sports and has coached soccer for the Bozeman Blitzz and been a running buddy for Thrive Girls on the Run.
Sarah and her husband have two elementary school children and one pet: a fish.
She says she’s always asked why they left New Zealand, and the short story is for her husband’s dream job as the Director of the Snow and Avalanche program at Montana State University. She’s always happy to give travel advice!
