Roseburg Forest Products-Melamine Plant

Morrison-Maierle served as record civil engineers on an expansion at the Roseburg Forest Products plant in Missoula, Montana. As part of the services provided, the firm performed a topographic survey and designed the site plan, grading, and drainage for the new 59,200-square-foot melamine board line building.

Additionally, Morrison-Maierle designed new roads and a parking lot to serve the new building and performed construction staking for the infrastructure improvements. Engineers and surveyors also performed precision staking within the new building to locate the critical installation points for the new board line equipment that was shipped from Germany. High levels of accuracy and precision were required for the points on this project to insure the shipped units were reassembled at the site successfully, and within the tolerance allowed by the equipment manufacturer.
