Jim Scoles receives new promotion at Morrison-Maierle Morrison-Maierle is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Scoles as its new Transportation Market Group Leader. In his new role, Jim will be responsible for all transportation projects that includes design of interstates, roads, bridges, and all other modes of transportation infrastructure. St. Paul Trail Bridge Wins Association of Conservation Engineers Award

This week the USDA Northern Region Forest Service and Morrison-Maierle, Inc. received the Association of Conservation Engineers (ACE) Carl V. Anderson Conservation Project Award of Merit for the St. Paul Trail Bridge project during the 2012 ACE Conference in Chesterton, Indiana. Working closely with the Forest Service, Morrison-Maierle developed a modified design that incorporates a post-tensioning system into the glue-laminated stringers. The post-tensioning system allows the stringers to withstand the significant snow loadings and provides a long-term solution to remote trail bridge construction restrictions.
