Cedar Street Reconstruction Award Winner: Montana Contractors’ Association 2010 Excellence Award for Best Reconstruction of Urban/City Project Widening Cedar Street, a main entry into Helena, from two to four lanes was a major initial step in the Montana Department of Transportation’s Custer Interchange project. Cedar Street’s proximity to Custer Avenue and its access to Interstate 15 allow it to serve as an alternative route while the current Custer Avenue overpass is demolished and the new interchange is built.
