Eric Blanksma

As the Water/Wastewater Market Group Office Leader in the Helena office, Eric Blanksma, PE, focuses on helping communities develop reliable water and wastewater infrastructure that supports daily life and long-term growth. He specializes in water sources, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water storage, water transmission and distribution systems, and effluent reuse.

A licensed Professional Engineer in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona, Eric is also a certified Class 1C wastewater and Class 2A/3B water operator in Montana. His experience spans the complete life cycle of water and wastewater projects, from planning and funding through design, permitting, construction, and operational support.

Eric finds the most rewarding part of his work in knowing that public water and wastewater systems serve communities every day. He says, “I enjoy being a part of building and improving infrastructure that has a continual impact on daily life. It is rewarding to work with clients, multiple discipline teams, equipment suppliers, permitting agencies, contractors, and operators to put together the big picture of infrastructure solutions.”

Outside of work, Eric stays involved with the water and wastewater industry through his participation on the Montana Section American Water Works Association (MSAWWA) committees.
