Andrew Farias

Andrew Farias, PLS, is a professional land surveyor and the survey office group leader in Morrison-Maierle’s Boise office. With more than 20 years of experience in land surveying, Andrew has focused much of his work over the past 10 years on the electric utility industry.

He earned a B.S. in geomatics from Idaho State University and specializes in topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction staking, and delivering the accurate spatial information teams need to keep projects moving forward.

Known for his collaborative approach to projects, Andrew says he brings his problem-solving mindset and commitment to provide clients and project partners with timely, reliable information.

“When our survey contributions make a meaningful and positive impact on collaborative projects, it exemplifies the role we play in ‘creating solutions that build better communities,’ ” he says. “This showcases how we work together to bring those solutions to our communities.

“My philosophy is to own our role as surveyors and recognize how that fits into the big picture. Making this connection is very rewarding to me,” he added.

Outside of work, Andrew volunteers with Rolling Tomatoes (a food bank distributor), the YMCA as a basketball coach, and with St. Vincent de Paul charities. He also enjoys fishing, collecting historical maps, and exploring thrift stores with his family.
