Carly Svenvold

Through her work as a mechanical engineer, Carly Svenvold takes pride in working on design and construction projects that directly benefit the community. She says, “I try to design projects with the owner, the end-user, and long-term sustainability at the front of my mind. What is best for the owner and those maintaining the building? Will this work for both parties long term, and how does this align with current codes and sustainability initiatives? Everyone is better off if I can find a solution that meets all three needs.”

Passionate about sustainability, Carly primarily focuses on LEED-certified and high performance mechanical designs. She is also heavily engaged in the design community. She’s a member and former board member of the local ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers) chapter and a current board member of the local AEE (Association of Energy Engineers) chapter.

Outside work, you can find her volunteering as a judge for local speech and debate tournaments, teaching piano lessons, and exploring the Montana outdoors.
