Tofor Snider

Tofor Snider, PE, is a senior civil engineer specializing in fisheries and water-wastewater projects throughout the West. His expertise lies in developing infrastructure solutions that support aquatic ecosystems and communities. His work includes designing systems for Endangered Species Act (ESA)-listed species and addressing the complex challenges of protecting and improving resources.

What Tofor finds most rewarding is knowing that the projects he helps design can make a meaningful difference for the future of ESA species and their habitats. By developing practical engineering solutions that support natural resource recovery, his project work benefits both the environment and the communities that depend on it.

Outside the office, Tofor has been actively involved in environmental education and natural resource conservation through volunteer work with Wild Science Explorers and Idaho Fish and Game. As a river guide, he led three- to five-day science education trips for disadvantaged and at-risk youth on the Lower Salmon River, helping participants learn about stream ecology, botany, geology, and natural resource monitoring. He has also volunteered at fish hatcheries and field sites throughout Idaho, assisting with fish trapping, spawning operations, hatchery rearing, wildlife research, and other conservation efforts
