Faith Doty
As an environmental scientist, Faith Doty develops solutions that balance environmental compliance with project goals. “The challenge of working with multiple agencies and navigating complex regulatory requirements keeps my work interesting, she says. “I take pride in identifying potential challenges early and developing strategies to keep work on track.”
With nearly a decade of experience in the industry, Faith specializes in wetland delineation, environmental/ecological monitoring, and Clean Water Act permitting and compliance, including NPDES/MPDES, stormwater, 404/wetlands, and 310/SPA124/streams. She is a go-to resource for plant and soil-related assessments, from NEPA analysis to habitat restoration and regulatory compliance.
She says, “I see natural resource management as a critical component of project success, not a hurdle to overcome. My role is to find practical solutions that couple environmental best practices with project goals to design vibrant, clean, and thriving communities.”
Passionate about building better communities professionally and personally, she has volunteered with various organizations, including the Gallatin Chapter of Montana Wild and Big Brothers Big Sisters—Rocky Mountain Region. She is currently a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists and volunteers with the Opt Out Learning Center.
Outside work, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, backpacking, rafting, hunting, slow trail running, and cooking with local ingredients.
To sum up her work philosophy, she says, “Environmental rules can feel like obstacles to project success. However, I see them as opportunities to create vibrant, clean, and thriving communities. By meeting environmental standards, we can navigate these challenges efficiently and ensure that projects not only comply with requirements but also contribute to long-term resiliency and community well-being.”
