Justin Shook

Justin Shook, PE, is a mechanical engineer specializing in fisheries design and development. His expertise includes machine design, trap-and-haul facilities, flume networks, pneumatic systems, tanks, crowders, brails, gates, weirs, fish sampling systems, fish traps, and fish screening projects. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho.

Growing up in Idaho, Justin spent countless hours fishing, camping, and exploring the outdoors with his family. These experiences fostered a lifelong appreciation for healthy waterways and natural ecosystems. Today, he finds the most rewarding part of his work is designing infrastructure that supports fisheries and conserves these resources for years to come. “Sharing similar experiences with future generations is a legacy I would be proud to leave behind,” he says.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys giving back to his community through volunteer efforts, including the Boise Greenbelt Cleanup and the Treefort Music Festival. His commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement reflects the same values that drive his engineering work.
