Joe Hughes

Joe Hughes, PE, serves as Market Group Office Leader for Morrison-Maierle’s Bozeman Buildings team, focusing on practical, efficient solutions that support clients and strengthen the communities they serve. His work centers on the survey, selection, design, maintenance, and integration of HVAC, hydronic, and plumbing systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings, from new construction to renovation and retrofit.

Joe is driven by the visible, lasting impact of his work. As Joe puts it, “I can drive around town and point to projects and say, ‘I did that.’” One project holds particular meaning: the Bozeman High School football stadium, where his son will play in the coming years. As a leader, Joe also emphasizes mentoring, collaboration, and employee-owner development to help build a strong, supportive team.

Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, and Nevada, Joe is a member of ASHRAE and has supported its local chapter through fundraising. He has also helped lead volunteer and fundraising efforts supporting organizations such as the Bozeman Public Library, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Big Sky Youth Empowerment, Thrive, and Warriors and Quiet Waters, and has coached Bozeman Baseball for five years, including an all-star team the past three.
