Jay Fischer

As a Senior Structural Engineer and Project Manager in the buildings group, Jay Fischer specializes in structural design for vertical construction. His experience includes project management, design, analysis, evaluation, construction administration, and special inspection for a variety of buildings and engineering projects.

Jay values collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving. He focuses on developing cost-effective design approaches and bringing teams together through an integrated design process. He believes successful project teams are the foundation for successful project outcomes.

Beyond his professional work, Jay enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and passing along the outdoor traditions he learned to his two children while creating new ones together. His belief in finding work where you want to live, rather than living where the work is, brought him to Montana. Jay is active in his community—he has coached recreational league and all-star baseball for several years, and he serves on the Bozeman Baseball Board of Directors and as chair of the Gallatin Valley YMCA Board of Directors.
