Kristyn Mayernik

Kristyn Mayernik describes the most rewarding part of her job as “helping others find solutions to their problems, whether they’re a client or a fellow employee-owner.” In the more than 10 years she’s worked as a natural resources engineer, she’s had plenty of opportunities to do just that. Recently, her focus has been on FEMA floodplain mapping in Montana. This includes building hydraulic models and using GIS to map the floodplains.

Outside of work, she is passionate about getting involved with her community both personally and professionally. She serves as the Montana ASCE Section President and as a Seattle Children’s Heart Center Family Advisor. Kristyn also participates in outreach programs that introduce engineering concepts to kids at local schools.

She and her husband enjoy spending time with their two children and two dogs in Montana’s great outdoors.
