Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Expansion and Improvements

Morrison-Maierle has been assisting Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport at Gallatin Field with their engineering needs for over 50 years. A recent 2016 ACEC Montana Grand Prize winner coupled with the East Belgrade Interchange, the airport serves Bozeman area residents and travelers to southwest Montana and popular sites like Big Sky and Yellowstone National Park. After 9/11, the airport implemented temporary changes to their existing screening checkpoints, but it became clear that more room was needed to efficiently move passengers through TSA security screening.

In addition to the new terminal building, other improvements include a new aircraft parking apron, auto parking lot and consolidated rental car wash facility. Morrison-Maierle provided civil, airport, environmental, structural; inspection; construction administration; and contract and grant administration. The cost of the projects totaled $50 million and was funded through FAA AIP grants, TSA-ARRA grants, Car Rental Customer Facility Charges, Revenue Bonds and local airport funds.
