Helena Regional Airport Master Plan

Award Winner: 2012 ACEC-Montana Honor Award for Engineering Excellence in the Studies, Research, and Consulting Category

Morrison-Maierle completed the Helena Regional Airport’s Master Plan, normally a one to two year process, in nine months to accommodate the Helena Regional Airport Authority’s reauthorization process. The last comprehensive Master Plan for the Helena Regional Airport in Helena, Montana, was prepared in 1975.  Since that time, the airport had managed its growth with isolated improvement plans that focused on specific functions but did not provide long-term integrated solutions.  A comprehensive Master Plan was needed to collectively address a diverse range of issues at the airport.  The end result is a prioritized, financially viable improvement plan that addresses the needs of the whole airport for the long-term.
