Morrison-Maierle has an open job opportunity for Airport Engineer in our Bozeman Montana office, as well as Phoenix, Arizona.


This position will provide design support for airport improvement projects on air carrier and general aviation airports.

Morrison-Maierle’s airport division services include design of air carrier and general aviation airport projects, land acquisition, construction and reconstruction of runways, taxiways and aprons, pavement condition analyses, lighting system design and construction, terminal navigation aids, aircraft rescue and firefighting training centers, Master Plan updates, landside projects, airport layout plan updates including terminal areas and airport environmental assessments.


Individual must be familiar with airports, FAA regulations, design criteria, construction administration and administration of FAA grants.

Technical background and experience should include design of airfield improvement projects such as: earthwork and pavements, storm drainage, airfield lighting and navigational aids, and building projects. Additional experience should include airport master planning, environmental assessments and land acquisition. Prior experience with the FAA Airport Improvement Program and familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent with E.I.T. and minimum 4 years of experience; P.E. preferred.

Must be proficient with the latest release of AutoCAD Civil 3D or have the ability to be trained in Civil 3D; hands on experience with ArcGIS a plus.
