Molly Davidson Featured in Irrigation Leader Magazine
Molly Davidson, Morrison-Maierle’s Natural Resources Market Group Leader, was recently featured in the January 2025 edition of Irrigation Leader magazine.
Irrigation Leader is a series of publications dedicated to those who provide water to irrigators in 17 western states and New Zealand. Each edition features interviews with irrigation district personnel, engineers, suppliers, and government officials to discuss issues and offer perspectives and insights. Molly’s photo is on the cover of the January 2025 Montana edition.
“Being included in the recent edition of Irrigation Leader was certainly an honor. I’m grateful for the chance to talk about our work at Morrison-Maierle, as we—like many others featured in this publication—work toward developing solutions for irrigation and water users throughout the West.”
In addition to providing a background on Molly and her career, the article highlights our water resources and irrigation capabilities. Molly also includes project overviews of the Jocko Area Canal Conversion, Bitter Root Irrigation District (BRID) Siphon, Allendale Canal and Fish Screen, and the Broadwater-Missouri Water Project.
To prepare for the future and address issues like drought, she said there is a significant need to improve aging infrastructure in Montana as “most irrigation systems were built over 100 years ago” and “have been repaired over their lifetime and have simply reached the end of their design life.”
“Our vision for the future involves supporting our clients in meeting water conservation, modernization, and infrastructure replacement goals,” she says in this article. “This support includes providing water conservation solutions in irrigated systems so that irrigators can receive the water they are entitled to while preserving water sources for other water users.”
