Breanne Cline and Faith Doty Receive PWS Certifications
Recently, Breanne Cline and Faith Doty earned their Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certifications. Issued by the Society of Wetland Scientists, the PWS certification is the only nationally recognized credential for wetland professionals. It verifies advanced expertise in wetland delineation, assessment, and regulatory compliance. Certified PWSs meet rigorous education and experience requirements and commit to a recognized code of ethics.
Breanne and Faith both work as environmental scientists and are part of our Natural Resources team. Breanne joined our Kalispell office in 2018, and Faith started in Bozeman in 2022.

When asked about her favorite projects, Faith shared her love of hydric soils. These soils form under saturated, low-oxygen conditions, and the chemical and biological processes within these environments can create vibrant/striking soil colors and other features.
“Wetlands are especially interesting because they offer insight into how soils form and evolve,” Faith said. “As a scientist, I’m fascinated by the way soil, water, and plant systems interact. As a consultant, I’m drawn to the challenge of applying policy and regulation to these complex, dynamic systems.”
Breanne added, “Gleyed soils are fun to find because they are really blue-grey in color.” She also explained that walking on peat soil feels like you are on a sponge floor.
Congratulations to Breanne and Faith on their achievement.
