Gallatin County RID Management Support Services
Gallatin County, Montana, is an attractive area to live in and visit and has generated significant activity from residential, recreational, and commercial development interests. Numerous rural developments have been created over the years under the county’s jurisdiction. A Rural Improvement District (RID) is a legal taxing authority through which a subdivision can raise funds for on-going maintenance and improvements. The county is responsible for the planning, management, and maintenance of the RID infrastructure and administration of the RID’s funds.
Morrison-Maierle has provided support to Gallatin County in its RID maintenance program since 1993 by developing a streamlined, systematic approach to public communication and by managing RID maintenance efforts. The firm’s extensive experience working with developers, the public, and the county to plan new developments, design improvements, and respond to legal requirements provided a sure foundation for complying with applicable regulations and standards, meeting development needs, and bringing parties together in effective communication processes.
Morrison-Maierle has worked with developers and Gallatin County staff to create more than 40 rural improvement districts, helping the county administer maintenance activities for these districts, including estimated costs and projected funds required to complete future improvements.
