Scott Murphy

Scott Murphy centers his work on helping our employee-owners better serve clients and create rewarding careers, both with an emphasis on creating solutions that build better communities. Passionate about the potential of employee ownership to change individual lives and communities for the better, he helps with Morrison-Maierle’s strategic business direction and employee-owner training.

Scott spent years improving the regional water environment by working with local communities on water reclamation planning, design, and construction projects before becoming CEO. These projects allowed him to help public works officials conceive and develop infrastructure that met important water quality goals and strengthened their communities for the long term.

Scott is active in both the Helena and engineering communities. For much of his life, he has volunteered with youth development organizations, including the Boy Scouts, youth sports, and dance groups. He has had leadership roles with the American Council of Engineering Companies and the Water Environment Foundation. He currently serves on the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce Board.
