Morrison-Maierle Launches In-House Grant Services
We’re excited to announce the launch of Morrison-Maierle’s new Grant Management Services, a formal program to help clients secure and administer funding for infrastructure projects. Leading this initiative is Julie Hofbauer, who recently transitioned into the role of Grant Services Manager after serving as an Office Administrative Manager in our Missoula office.
Julie brings strong organizational expertise and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs, honed through her previous role supporting engineering teams. Before that, Julie worked as a Development Director for seven years, managing grants for a local non-profit. In her new position, she will work closely with clients, engineers, and project managers to provide comprehensive grant support from opportunity identification through final reporting.
Grant Services at Morrison-Maierle
While Morrison-Maierle has long supported communities in navigating funding challenges, this in-house service formalizes and expands our ability to deliver:
- Targeted funding research.
- Strategic grant writing and application support.
- Ongoing grant administration and compliance tracking.
- Reporting, closeout, and audit preparation.
- Leveraging client relationships to support communities and project needs.
We’re initially launching this service within our Water and Wastewater Market Group. Many small and rural communities we serve face complex funding challenges and limited staffing. Our goal is to be an extension of their team, bringing funding expertise to the table from the outset so that essential infrastructure projects can move forward efficiently and affordably.
As Julie puts it, “We want to help our clients find the money, win the grant, and see their projects through to the finish line. Having engineering and grant support working directly together will streamline the entire process.”
In the long term, we plan to expand these services to other clients and regions, offering a scalable, proactive approach to grant management for communities across the Northwest and Intermountain regions.
