Chip Nielsen
Chip Nielsen is a Senior Water-Wastewater Engineer based in Morrison-Maierle’s Bozeman office, where he plays a key role in wastewater reclamation facility design and construction. He has been involved in the design and construction of a handful of wastewater plants in the greater Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas. From treatment plant design, to conveyance system and pond design through effluent reuse projects, Chip brings a comprehensive approach to water and wastewater engineering.
With a strong foundation in heavy civil engineering, Chip’s career spans both construction and design disciplines. He is highly experienced in managing projects that demand diverse expertise—including planning, design, construction administration, operational support, and construction oversight. Chip’s in-depth knowledge of regulatory processes and permitting enables him to effectively support his clients and position their projects for success.
Throughout his career, Chip has designed and overseen the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure for municipal and private clients. His work is primarily concentrated in the Gallatin Valley and Big Sky areas, where his involvement in wastewater reclamation facilities and effluent reuse has been particularly significant.
