Chris Boyd
Chris Boyd brings 27 years of experience as a structural engineer and fisheries specialist, helping clients solve complex technical and organizational challenges. His work centers on fish passage and water control structures, often paired with recreational features that connect people to rivers, wetlands, and lakes.
Chris is driven by service and problem-solving. According to Chris, he simply “enjoys solving problems and helping people,” whether that means addressing technical challenges, mentoring team members, or helping clients navigate funding, scheduling, and long-term planning issues. Over time, he has embraced the role of trusted advisor, providing guidance that extends well beyond traditional engineering services.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in eight western states and a Structural Engineer in Idaho, Chris has intentionally built his career around projects that preserve natural resources while creating meaningful community benefits. He believes engineering is most impactful when technical rigor is aligned with environmental stewardship and recreation. Chris has also helped lead volunteer and donation efforts supporting organizations such as Trout Unlimited, Idaho Rivers United, and the Boise Bicycle Project, and looks forward to dedicating time to these worthwhile causes.
