Brian Aschim named as new Market Group CAD Leader
As a 15-year employee-owner, Brian Aschim has recently been promoted as Morrsion-Maierle’s new Market Group CAD Leader. He has been with Morrison-Maierle since he graduated from Montana State in civil engineering in 2003. He then earned his M.S. in structural engineering in 2005 and is a member of the Bozeman office. As a senior structural engineer, he specializes in the development of building information modes (BIM) and the generation of complex finite element analysis models. Some of his recent projects include the MSU Miller Dining Hall Renovations, Carroll College Student Housing, and Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.
In 2018, Brian, along with other members of the CAD and GIS staff, restructured the Standards Library and worked with on the standard AutoCAD templates to support excellence in project delivery. He says he hopes the group’s recent accomplishments will continue to develop, and the group will start gathering CAD and GIS-related feedback to determine their next steps.
Brian says employee-ownership is a hallmark of our company, “and is not only one of the most valued benefits for our employee-owners, but is also one of the most significant drivers in our firm’s culter, and one of our biggest differentiators from our competition.”
As far as his family is concerned, Brian says he’s “blessed to have been joyfully married to my high school sweetheart, Annie, for 17 years. She has the most challenging job in the family serving as a kindergarten teacher in Belgrade. We have a beautiful daughter, Sadi who will be a junior in high school this fall, and a strapping son, Brady who will be starting the 6th grade. Our family is rounded out with a classroom bunny named Chubs, an 8-month old chocolate lab named Abby, and an 11-week old boxer named Jocko.”
