Kennet Bertelsen

Morrison-Maierle’s Spokane Office is proud to announce the hiring of Kennet Bertelsen as a Senior Civil Engineer. He will be working initially with our Transportation Group and will also focus on on developing business in the Spokane region.

Kennet graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering. He comes to Morrison-Maierle from USKH Inc., which was acquired by Stantec in June 2014. He was an associate and shareholder at USKH and Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager.

Bertelsen is active in the Spokane community and volunteers at Gonzaga University as a technical advisor/project sponsor in the School of Engineering’s Senior Design program. The projects allow the students to work on a variety of preliminary civil engineering tasks (water, wastewater, structural, etc.) for projects in the developing world. So far the projects have been in Cameroon, South Sudan, India and Haiti. He also sits on the Transportation Advisory Committee for Spokane Regional Transportation Council.

An avid Minnesota sports fan, Kennet also finds time to golf, flyfish, cook, bake, and spends time with his wife and two girls, ages 4 and 7.
