
Mike Gray joins firm as new Natural Resources Market Group Leader
Morrison-Maierle is pleased to announce that Mike Gray, PG, has joined the firm as its new Natural Resources Market Group Leader. He succeeds Ken Salo, PE, who held the position for nine years and will continue as Morrison-Maierle’s Chief Engineer and project manager.
Mike has spent the majority of his career in progressively responsible positions with engineering consulting companies, including most recently AECOM (formerly URS) where he worked in offices in Billings and Anchorage, Alaska, and Dames & Moore (acquired by URS) where he worked in Anchorage and San Francisco, California. He is a northern California native and a graduate of Humboldt State University with a B.A. in Geology. He will be based out of Morrison-Maierle’s Billings office.
His 30-year career has focused on projects in Montana, Alaska, and the Pacific Northwest. He brings a broad base of group leadership/management, technical experience, and a commitment to client service. As a registered professional geologist, he has conducted environmental and engineering studies, contaminated site remediation, and geologic hazard analysis.
Over time Mike’s been involved in leading multi-discipline groups in the successful execution of major projects for a variety of oil and gas, mining, and federal and state government clients. He also has been responsible for business development planning and execution for the functional groups he led.
Mike, his wife, Lisa, and their two boys live in Laurel, Montana.
