Missoula Library Named Public Library of the Year
The International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA), along with Danish software company Systematic, has recently honored the Missoula Public Library as the 2022 Public Library of the Year.
As the first public library in the United States to receive this award, the Missoula Public Library is opening doors for the community. The building meets the vision of its stakeholders; an energy-efficient, versatile space for the community to meet, learn, and connect.

“Working on the Missoula Public Library with our community, MSR Design, and A&E Design has been one of the true honors in my career, not only because it has just been awarded such a prestigious award as the IFLA Public Library of the Year, but mostly because it is a landmark project where a team of community members, designers and builders came together to bring our community a library that truly serves,” said Arian Bloomfield, Morrison-Maierle Buildings Market Group Leader.
“I am just so proud of the work we all accomplished here; thank you for including Morrison-Maierle on the team,” he added.
Morrison-Maierle provided the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and site civil engineering services.
