BJ Cope
As a civil engineer with more than 25 years of experience, Benjamin J. (BJ) Cope finds designing projects that benefit our communities—that will outlive all of us—one of the most rewarding things about his career. He enjoys tackling and solving complicated problems as he considers himself to be “a jack of all trades—at least within civil engineering.”
With specialized experience in dam safety and rehabilitation and upgrades of dams and hydroelectric plants, BJ always strives to find the best solution for our clients, even if it’s not the easiest option.
“Regardless of the scope and scale of a project,” he says, “I believe it’s our duty to be cognizant of the potential impacts our work may have on the public and the natural environment.”
BJ is a licensed professional engineer who holds registrations in Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming. He is based in our Bozeman, MT office.
