Doug Downie

Over four decades into his career, Doug still finds joy in helping his clients arrive at solutions that exceed their expectations. He has worked on various projects, including single-family houses, schools, medical, high-tech, industrial, and historic buildings. His primary focus is always thoughtful selection and design to ensure a building is sustainable and easily maintainable long-term.

Doug also values helping others outside of work, and he volunteers for Fences for Fido, an organization that builds dog runs for people who can’t afford them to help get dogs off chains. He also supports Catalyst, which provides construction repairs and remodels that benefit under-resourced homeowners.

Now, working as a CAD designer based out of Central Oregon, he enjoys mentoring and sharing his expertise with less experienced employee-owners. He says, “it’s rewarding to put over four decades of experience into my designs and to help others.”
